 WELCOME TO THE FRIENDSHIP FORCE OF BRISTOL

The Bristol Friendship Force is one of several clubs in the UK and a member of Friendship Force International, a global nework of more than 360 clubs in over 60 countries. Established in the 1970’s as a non-profit, non-religious and non-political organisation with the ideal:

“A world of friends is a world of peace!”

The simple vision is to use friendship to cross the social, economical, political and cultural barriers which tend to divide people.

Home-hosting is the idea that lies at the heart of the ‘exchanges’ (visits) between clubs around the world. Members learn about new cultures as personal guests not as tourists. Ambassadors (visitors) are welcomed into the homes of their hosts and social activities are arranged for a memorable and enjoyable week. Mini exchanges are often arranged between UK clubs, which means that members of one club can go as a group and stay with members of another club within the UK for three or four nights home-hosting.
